FAQ'S
The Nowt-But-Sites frequently asked questions.
What is a static website and why do you like them so much?
A static website is made from simple HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. Unlike WordPress or other dynamic sites, it doesn't use a database or complex server processing. This makes it extremely fast to load, more secure (fewer things to hack), and much cheaper to run.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes! For simple changes (text, images, contact details), we can set it up so you edit directly via a user-friendly method or we provide clear instructions. For bigger updates, just get in touch, affordable change requests are available. Many clients prefer us to handle updates to keep things hassle-free.
How much does it cost?
I charge £40 an hour billed in 15 minute increments. The average website for a trade takes between 4 and 6 billable hour to complete. All websites are different however - fill in our online quotation form for a complete idea.
Hosting is either £40 a year - £3.33 a month for small sites or £80 a year for large sites.
Custom code or artwork is going to be extra.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. I keep things simple and transparent. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying for, with no surprise charges.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts or tie in's. If you decide to cancel, just let us know.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Once your website is built, it’s yours. We simply host and maintain it for you.
Is there a backup?
I always keep a backup of the work I do for customers.
